Your path into TUM
Get to know Germany´s best technical university for one week: Learn everything about funding opportunities for postdocs and the academic life at TUM at our Research Opportunities Week. Afterwards you can apply for the 2-year TUM Global Postdoc Fellowship.
External postdocs can apply for the attractive TUM Global Postdoc Fellowship, to realize a reseach project at TUM. During the Research Opportunities Week you get more information about the fellowship-program.
These EU funded postdoctoral fellowships provide opportunities to acquire and transfer new knowledge and to work on research and innovation in a European context (EU Member States and Associated Countries) or outside Europe. The scheme particularly supports the return and reintegration of researchers from outside Europe who have previously worked here. It also develops or helps to restart the careers of individual researchers that show great potential, considering their experience.
The EuroTechPostdoc2-program of the EuroTech Universities includes fellowships over two years at two of the participating universities for scientists holding first research successes. The Call for this program is closed.

If you are interested in pursuing a postdoc at TUM, you will require a host-professor. As you know your scientific expertise best, we advise you to identify the best matching host-professor yourself. TUM is structured into TUM Schools (Organisation – TUM). Within these schools, you will find a list of professors according to their field of expertise.
Identify the professor / the department most suitable for you and reach out to the respective professor. Please contact the professors you want to conduct research with directly by sending your research proposal and your CV to discuss research opportunities. The professors are your first point of contact at TUM, as they are the persons who are most competent and qualified concerning scientific questions.
Please make sure that you communicate your research interests well and that your experience matches the requested profile. The professors – especially renowned ones – receive many emails from applicants, so if you want to be considered, you really need to demonstrate that you are the best-suited postdoc he/she can have for his/her team.
TUM Junior Fellows can also act as hosts.
