Expert committee advises on reform plan

Hochschule für Politik (HfP) under new management

On October 1, 2014, TUM President Prof. Wolfgang A. Herrmann will become the acting founding rector of the Hochschule für Politik München (HfP) – Bavarian School of Public Policy. He will be assisted from December 1 by the designated administrative director Dr. Claudia Höfer-Weichselbaumer, who has been active in the development of the TUM School of Management as head of course management and as managing director of the school since 2005. Political scientist Dr. Hannemor Keidel, a long-serving TUM Senior Vice President, will be the TUM delegate officer for the HfP.

In his role as acting founding rector, Prof. Herrmann has established an expert committee to draw up a reform plan for TUM as the new supporting university in October. One of the topics up for discussion will be the profiles of the five new professorships that will be advertised at a later date.

HfP at TUM: Current status

On December 1, 2014, TUM was installed as supporting university for the Hochschule für Politik (HfP) – Bavarian School of Public Policy. Details on the reform of the research profile and the study programs offerend by the HfP can be found on www.tum.de/hfp.
