Studentenhilfe München e.V.:

Assistance in cases of emergency

Studying – the best time in life? For many, this is true. But this stage of life is not without worries for everyone. The Studentenhilfe München e.V. helps students in difficult situations.

An accident, adverse circumstances, unplanned costs – there are things that can push you to your financial limits. The Studentenhilfe München has an emergency fund that can help, providing financial support for students who are in immediate need through no fault of their own. It is possible to apply for financial support to purchase necessary goods once.

If someone has difficulties paying for his/her daily meals in the canteens, there is the possibility to apply for a "Freitisch", a possibility to have lunch in the canteens of the Student Union for free every weekday. The grant is based on 500 Euros worth of coupons for main courses and two side dishes to cover a whole semester.

There is also a similar offer for the little ones: the "Freitischchen", thanks to which infants of student parents in need will be given free meals in the nurseries of the Student Union.

How to contact us? It would be best to approach the Student Union within the scope of the general and social counselling services. We will help you along with unbiased advice and, together, we can work out individual and sustainable solutions to help you out of your emergency situation.
The Studentenhilfe München is a registered association that is funded by donations.
