Longer Opening Hours for the Winter Semester

From October 12, 2020 the TUM University Library will extend its opening hours. All branch libraries will open earlier in the morning and library visits on weekends will be possible again.

The Branch Libraries Mathematics & Informatics, Main Campus and Weihenstephan will open Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 midnight, on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. All other branch libraries can be visited during the week from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Ordering, collecting, returning

Services at the circulation desks are available from 8:30 or 9:30 a.m. – 30 minutes after opening of the respective branch library. Prior appointments are not necessary. However, you must pre-order all literature via the online catalog OPAC. Picking up LRZ poster prints at the Branch Library Main Campus will be possible again starting October 12, 2020.

Studying in the library

The reservation hours for learning places will also be extended. TUM members can reserve individual study desks up to three times per week. In the Branch Libraries Mathematics & Informatics, Main Campus and Weihenstephan places are also available on weekends.
