TUM Students Collect Supplies for Earthquake Victims

Call for Donation of Emergency Supplies

Students of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) have started a donation campaign for emergency supplies for the victims of the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Items can be dropped off on Thursday (Feb. 16, 2023) from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and on Friday (Feb. 17, 2023) from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the Rittersaal at Gabelsbergerstraße 45 (yellow building next to StudiTUM).

Aktion Deutschland hilft / Help
Local organizations such as "Help" pack relief supplies on site. Donations can also be handed in at TUM.

Need is particularly great for:

  • Hygiene products, such as diapers, diaper rash ointment, sanitary napkins, Band-Aids, paper towels and wet wipes, as well as
  • Food items, such as powdered milk, baby food, long-life foods (no pork), and wet and dry pet food.
  • Electric heaters, crutches and wheelchairs are also needed. Clothing donations cannot be accepted.

Please note that all items must have a shelf life of at least 6 months at the time of donation. Collected items will be picked up by the Turkish Consulate General on Friday evening at 7 p.m. and dispatched to the disaster area.


In cooperation with Aktion Deutschland Hilft, monetary donations are also accepted.
