The TUM IdeAward presents the upcoming stars of the start-up scene. In the last year the first place went to KEWAZO and their idea of a AI-controlled elevator system for the construction industry. The team had met at the interdisciplinary practical course THINK.MAKE.START of TUM and UnternehmerTUM and founded their company in TUM´s incubator. KEWAZO was also successful in the TUM's „US Venture Program“, where they got the chance to present their business idea in Silicon Valley and to establish important contacts. In the meantime, the start-up has raised a total of over one million euros from international investors and, with the support of DAX-listed partners, has developed a prototype that is close to entering the market.
