Podcast “Exzellent erklärt” about the "SyNergy" Cluster of Excellence

Fighting forgetting

As our society grows older, growing numbers of people are suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. The condition is incurable – but could medication to relieve symptoms, or even a vaccine to prevent the disease, be on the horizon? The Cluster of Excellence "SyNergy" brings TUM together with various institutions to research Alzheimer’s and other brain disorders. Prof. Christian Haass – the Cluster’s co-spokesperson at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich – appeared on the “Exzellent erklärt” podcast series to discuss the results of research to date as well as the greatest challenges and unanswered questions for future research.
