Public event

In memory of members of the THM (now TUM) who were dismissed and persecuted by the Nazi regime, the TUM Senior Excellence Faculty is setting up a memorial site on its main campus at Arcisstraße 21. This initiative is part of TUM's critical examination of its Nazi past and is also an appeal to learn from memory, to respect our liberal-democratic values and to promote tolerance and mutual respect in the long term.

The opening event includes an approximately two-hour symposium (from 4 pm) in the Carl-von-Linde lecture hall and a film evening (from 8 pm, free admission) in cooperation with the student initiative "der tu film". Michael Verhoeven's film "The White Rose" (1982) will be shown, which is characterized by its historically accurate portrayal of this resistance group against the Nazi regime.
