Information on Degree Program
The master’s program “Intellectual Property and Competition Law” prepares graduates of different disciplines for a career in in the realm of intellectual property protection: In a knowledge-based society, patent law, copyright law, trademark law, and competition law are instrumental for growth, prosperity, and development. Graduates of this program work in corporations’ patent or trademark departments, at patent attorney firms or law firms, as independent patent attorneys, at patent offices or patent courts as well as at international organizations (European Patent Office (EPO), European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)).
The program of studies takes place at the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center (MIPLC) (bitte Link auf www.miplc.de setzen), a cooperation project of TUM, the Max Planck Society, the University of Augsburg, and The George Washington University, Washington DC, USA. The LL.M. program is operated by the University of Augsburg. The program is taught in English.
